Ways You Can Get Involved
In Our Celebration
Everyone should get to celebrate one day a year.. even children in foster care. CASA of the 4th in Ottawa created an idea that with a little help from the community "Birthday Boxes" could be created so that children in foster care could celebrate their birthday just like any other child. These boxes were filled with such things as streamers, napkins, paper plates, etc, Anything to make a fun-filled child's birthday party. Kansas CASA was inspired by this idea so to celebrate our birthday we decided to take that idea statewide. Every child knows how much fun it is to have a birthday party and Kansas CASA is very excited about the idea of creating a 'birthday party in a box' for children served by CASA volunteers. If you make a donation of $30.00 or more (not including birthday box donation) to Kansas CASA you will receive a complimentary limited edition anniversary t-shirt. Honor Someone's Birthday
We all have friends and family members who are hard to buy for. Instead of spending hours in the mall, why not make a donation to Kansas CASA in honor of his/her birthday. For a $20,00 donation or more, Kansas CASA will send a birthday card to that person on their special day informing them of the gift you have made in their honor. To honor that special someone, print this form and mail it and a check to Kansas CASA.
Most companies have a dress down day on Friday. To increase awareness of child abuse and neglect, have your company sponsor a "wear blue" day in the month of April. Ask employees to donate $5.00 to participate and donate the proceeds to your local CASA program. Click here to find a program near you.
